Recently, led by the Guangdong Terminal Fast Charging Alliance (FCA), the Universal Fast Charging Specification (UFCS) — recognized for its unique technological advantages and outstanding achievements in recent years — was successfully included in the first batch of advanced and applicable technologies released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). This milestone marks a significant breakthrough in the development of fast-charging technology and paves the way for broader industry adoption.

The selection of advanced and applicable technologies by the MIIT is a key initiative to implement the guideline on accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing industries. It supports the broader adoption of innovative technologies and promotes the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing.

As China’s first independently developed universal fast-charging technology, UFCS facilitates seamless interoperability among terminals and charging technologies from different manufacturers, offering enhanced safety, improved efficiency, and reduced costs.
